MITOSIS is the complicated process of chromosome seperation

MIOSIS is the copying process that creates cells with half the usual number of chromozomes

Mitosis is the process of cell division in somatic cells to make 2 identical diploid cells. ItMeiosis is a process of cell division that creates 4 haploid cells that are not completely identical. Meiosis creates sex cells or gametes.

The question should be rephrased so the spelling is correct. I believe the question should read, what is the difference between MEIosis and Mitosis? I can understand the spelling mistake but in medical language everything is about spelling correctly. The original question is asking "what is the difference between constriction of the pupil of the eye"(which occurs in bright settings, miosis), and "what is cell division that creates 2 identical diploid cells" (for example occurs whenever you produce new skin cells, mitosis). These are not related therefore there should not be a question of what the difference is. I will answer what meiosis is which is related to mitosis.

Meisos is cell division that creates 4 haploid cells that are not identical, two from the father two from the mother. These are sex cells for reproduction. This is due to allowing genetic make up of these cells to be diverse creating a mixture of DNA from both parents. This is also why siblings are not identical unless they are identical twins.

mitosis is the processes in cell division when the nucleus divides usually with four stages: prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase. The end result is usually two nuclei-one from father the other from mother. miosis is the genetics of cell division that produces reproductive cells in sexually reproducing organisms; the nucleus divides itself into four and contains half the original chromosome number (begins at forty six then after halved twenty three)

Mitosis produces 2 daughter cells, and meiosis produces 4. Meiosis produces new cells with half the genetic material. Mitosis produces daughter cells with the same amount of genetic material as the original cell.

i'm not sure if this will help you any, but I think they have to do with cells. It's when they split into identical sets of chromosomes. Like I said not sure if this will answer your question but I tried :P

During meiosis there is pairing between homologous chromosomes for exchange of chromatin material by crossing over and these chromosomes get separated in first stage of meiotic division, thus half of the chromosomes separate at each pole; the second stage of meiosis is more or less similar to mitotic division. At the end of meiosis 4 daughter nuclei are formed whereas in mitosis only 2 daughter nuclei are formed without reduction in the number of chromosomes.
