Generally a adhoc network is a wireless network but instead of been managed by a hub or switch a computer runs the network. A adhoc network is typically a wireless connection between two or more computers without the use of a hub or switch, where as a wireless network generally has some piece network hardware running the network that is only meant to facilitate connections and not make them its self.

∙ 14y agoADhok connection can be established between two devices like wi-fi devices. individual IPs are alotted to both computers for conecting through ADhoc, we can access each computer by Remote desktop.
while Access point is mainly concerned with a router which provide connectivity for more than two systems to be connected with each other.
difference between both is obviously clear, ADhoc provide file sharing, internet sharing between two systems wile access point is the point through which many systems can be connected.
access point is a point ,if a system is with in range it will provide connectivity.
access point works like a bridge.
