There are many types of anxiety. Every one feels a certain amount of anxiety in life. But, usually it is managed easily. However, there are situations where people feel an enormous amount of anxiety and they find themselves feeling overwhelmed, irritable, shaky, feeling dread for no reason, they are plagued with headaches etc..

There are many different reasons for people to feel anxiety that they can't manage.

Some may feel enormous anxiety due to a new job. Adjusting to this situation is very difficult. Here, the person may need help from a counselor for a brief time. The counselor would give the person ways of coping and possibly new ways of looking at issues.

There is social anxiety where people have varying degrees of anxiety when dealing with other people. This can be severe anxiety when speaking in front of groups of people to severe anxiety when meeting any one for the first time.

The different types of anxiety people can have is enormous. Some are not very common. Some are more common. One, not so common, anxiety provoker for some is the fear of signing or writing in front of people. There's test anxiety. That's more common.

There are people who live in a constant state of worry. These people have Generalized Anxiety Disorder. They worry about the trivial as well as important things in life. So, they live in a constant state of high anxiety.
