comm--highly infectious....can be caught and transmitted

non comm--cannot be transmitted or caught....they are inherited , genetic or developed through nutritional deficiencies

a communicable disease can be transmited via contact with the person i.e. Flu is a communible disease. but a non communible disease i.e. cancer cannot be transmitted in any way, shape, or form to the other person. Just like Infectious Diseases
