1. Active Directory is a Flat File Database, and as such does not scale well to distributed locations. On very slow links site replication can take upwards of 4hrs, or fail to complete before next replication which will cause errors.
2. Active Directory fails full LDAP compliance, which limits what open source or 3rd party products can be deployed (as such, costs increase exponentially)
3. Active Directory is OS dependent and cannot be installed on any platform other than Windows server. (This increases licensing costs and reduces reliability).
An AD lets you manage your network from one point.
Its very convienent.
Its easy to use
Easy to set-up
Very flexible
If your AD goes down your networks down
Though it's easy to set-up, if set-up wrong it can be a very timely and costly procedure to remove and start again
You have to install DNS first, and some people (for whatever reasons) cant fully get their heads round DNS
Its very easy to hack an AD
advantages
more secure
delegation easy
robust
easy manageability(ou)
easy administration and control
all regions have same data
can manage millions of objects
search easy
Increases the Productivity of Users
Reduces the Burden of IT Administration
Increase Fault Tolerance to minimize Downtime
It improves Security
disadvantage
cost of infrastructure
good planning is must
Complex structure for user
To authenticate users faster in the domain
To authenticate resources(gps etc) faster for the users
Utilization of resources
Utilization of network and descreasing the overall traffic in the network.
The main benefit is that of the users and passwords management, which could grow to be massive amount of work having to manage them individually on each independent servers. The proposed changes of migrating the whole platform to Active Directory environment will assist in propagating the changes (such as new users, password changes, new security requirements via GPO, etc) on to the servers (which will run as domain clients, only 1 or 2 will run Primary and Secondary ADC. Not all these servers are going to run host AD or be an ADC, server OS is used due to it's robustness and reliability).

There are many self-improvement books available for the treatment of anxiety. Studies have shown that the most useful self-improvement books on the topic are written by mental health professionals who hold doctoral degrees and have a specific focus. Some specific titles recommended by the ADAA are "Facing Panic: Self-Help for People With Panic Attacks" by R. Wilson, Ph. D. and "Triumph Over Shyness: Conquering Social Anxiety Disorder" by M. Stein, MD, and J. Walker, Ph.D.

Active Directory Federation Services was developed by Microsoft. It is a software component that can be installed on Windows. It is designed to maintain application security and implement federal identity.
Active Directory Services is included with most Windows systems as it is a product of Microsoft. It is often used with Windows domain networks, authorizing computers within the network.
Active Directory Recycle Bin is a feature that helps minimize directory service downtime by enhancing your ability to preserve and restore accidentally deleted Active Directory objects without restoring Active Directory data from backups, restarting Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), or rebooting domain controllers. When you enable Active Directory Recycle Bin feature, all link-valued and non-link-valued attributes of the deleted Active Directory objects are preserved and the objects are restored in their entirety to the same consistent logical state that they were in immediately before deletion. For example, restored user accounts automatically regain all group memberships and corresponding access rights that they had immediately before deletion, within and across domains. Active Directory Recycle Bin is functional for both AD DS and Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS) environments. Mohannad Hamid
