∙ 9y agoThere are numerous disadvantages of alcohol. Heavy drinking can lead to liver diseases, increased blood pressure, damage to the heart muscle and it plays a major role in the development of cancers. Alcohol also increases the risk for osteoporosis and can disrupt sleep patterns .
