This is possible in the eyes of the child with autism because their mind and body works /functions differently than ours so we can't judge . They claim to see this because their eyes or mind now they see things we cant so you cant say they are wrong because you can't see it from their point of perspective ...Hope this helped :D....

The organisation Autism Speaks has the tagline 'It's time to listen' but they refuse to listen to autistic people...you can't hear unless you listen, and that's when problems arise with people seeking to 'help' autistic people when they don't know what autistic people need or want.

Yes, and when you hear of an autistic having a "meltdown" it is almost alwas because of "sensory overload". Its where to much is going on and they cant handle it
Yes, I believe this happened over the years that most autistic children because of not responding to their names or certain sounds like clapping, conversations, shouts and such that they were mistaken as deaf children. Reason they don't react to certain sounds or people because of the sounds all around them-even though they don't seem too loud and because most autistic people are very uncomfortable with eye contact. Some deaf people can be autistic also.
