Best Answer

No, Jesus plays no role in Judaism whatsoever. The Christian concept of 'messiah' doesn't exist in Judaism at all.

Why don't Jews convert to Christianity if they believe in Jesus?

Many Jews believe that Jesus did exist and lived in Palestine during the first century CE, but that he was not the Son of God. To ask why Jews do not convert to Christianity if they believe that Jesus lived two thousand years ago, would be like asking why Christians do not convert to Islam if they believe that Muhammad also lived. There is also an ambiguity with the term "believe in". Most Jews accept that Jesus was a historical figure and believe in his existence in the same way that most Christians believe in George Bush's existence. However, very few Jews accept the Christian notion that Jesus was not a man like every other man who has walked this Earth (which is the typical connotation that Christians mean when they say "believe in"). Therefore, those Jews see Christianity as a misinterpretation of a historical figure's message, not a proper religious direction. Those who do see Jesus as the Messiah, (i.e. Messianic Jews) are not only shunned by the Jewish community, but refuse to join the Christian community because of the amount of traditions eschewed by the Christian community (like the dietary laws, prayer on Saturdays, and a penchant for Hebrew).

Does be called a Jew stand for worshipping god?

I am not sure I understand the question, but Jews absolutely do worship and believe in God. Since Jesus was a Jew, it is certain that he too worshiped and believed in God. Jews are monotheists. They do not believe in any other deity, nor do they worship anyone except the One God, the same God that Jesus worshiped. But the word "Jew" refers to someone who believes in the Jewish religion. People who believe that Jesus was the messiah and the son of God are called Christians. Jews, while they respect their Christian friends and colleagues, do not believe Jesus was the messiah or the son of God. Jews believe the messiah has not yet been sent. Jews have some beliefs that are similar to Christians, but also many that are different. That said, Jews then and now have followed the teachings that were written in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament); these were also the teachings that Jesus often quoted.

What do Jews believe about Jesus Christ's death?

Christian answer:In addressing a group of Jews about their role in the death of the Messiah, the apostle Peter said the words in Acts 3:14-17. Jesus' death would be beneficial-but not for the Jews only. His ransom sacrifice would provide the means to release all mankind from bondage to sin and death. Jewish answer:Jews believe that Jesus died in the same manner as other people and without any miracles or special significance.

Who do people believe in if they do not believe in Jesus?

A:Some believe in other gods, such as the Hindu pantheon. Jews believe in the same God as do Christians but believe that Jesus was, at most, only a wandering preacher. Muslims revere Jesus, but only as a prophet. Many others believe that all religions are false and that there is no reason to believe in Jesus. And also zeus and posiden

Is it true that Christians and Jews believe in the same God of Abraham and both share the belief in Creation however they differ in the belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Messiah?

Yes...Jews do not believe either.

How can the Jews be God's chosen people if they reject Jesus as their Savior?

Jewish people worship the same god as Christians do. Jews believe that the Messiah has not come to Earth yet; Christians believe that Jesus is the Messiah; and Muslims believe Mohammad is the prophet of Alah but was not a holy being. The Muslim understanding of Mohammad would be paralle to the Jewish view Jesus.

Does the star of David means that you don't believe in God?

No. The Star of David is commonly used as a symbol of Judaism. Jews believe in the same God that Christians do, but do not believe that Jesus was the Messiah.

What are the differences between Seventh Day Adventists and Christian Jews?

In certain ways, they are similar. However, there are lots of key differences, like the belief in Jesus Christ! But, the similarities lie in the fact that they both observe the original Sabbath of God, and that they both use Kosher laws to choose what is clean and unclean to eat. The other similarities are the same that lie between any Christian denomination and Judaism

What should you believe about Jesus?

A:If you wish to be a Christian, you should believe that Jesus was the Son of God and is, at the same time, equal with God as part of the Trinity. It is not necessary, in order to be a Christian, to believe that the four New Testament gospels are literally true in every thing they say, but most Christians do.If you want to believe what we know about Jesus, you will first have to decide whether to believe that the gospel stories are true. Outside these books, which have a common literary source, we know almost nothing about Jesus.

Are Jewish and Mormon the same?

No, definately not. There are many differences, but the biggest is that Mormons believe that Jesus Christ was the Messiah and Jews do not. They do have some similarities, mostly stemming from their shared belief in the Old Testament books. Mormons put more emphasis on the Old Testament than most Christian churches, which can make them more similar to Jews on some issues. Additionally, there are about the same number of Mormons as there are Jews worldwide (about 14 million).

Are you a Christian if you are christened even though you don't believe in God?

It is an interesting question. You might say that you are nominally Christian by virtue of your upbringing, but you are not a Christian in the more formal sense of devotion to Christ.ANSWER 2:Someone who doesn't believe in God is called an atheist. No one can be a Christian and an atheist at the same time. To be a Christian, one has to believe in Jesus as the Son of God.
