I don't see how anybody could possibly think that any pagan gods were "related" to the Christian God except insofar as the Church teaches that good can be found in any religion. There is, however, a flip side to that. As the Scriptures and Tradition both plainly teach us: the "gods" of the pagans are all actually demons masquerading as gods in an attempt to mislead people.
