Verizon offers a larger range of coverage than Cricket. Although inexpensive, Cricket has a limited coverage area as of now that includes 39 markets in the USA. Cricket's roaming charges are expensive but they have one low price for texts/minutes whereas Verizon will penalize you for extra minutes/texts you use.
According to their specifications, yes they do work nationwide. They may still be subject to roaming areas just like any other cell phones. Cricket offers a nationwide 3G network, which covers most of the country. There is a coverage map on the Cricket website indicating which states do not have coverage. However, Cricket phones and plans are only available for purchase in some states.
From the verizon web site, it shows that they do have data coverage in mexico. However it doesn't say whether or not it has GPS coverage. My recommendation is contact verizon.
There are a few different wifi phones that Verizon has to offer. Three of the most popular are the Black Berry Storm2, the Palm Pre Plus Verizon, and the HTC Ozone XV6175 Verizon.
You can look at the offers Verizon have at their website www.verizonwireless.com. They do have some free phones but you need to commit to a two year contract for these.
Verizon would definitely be the better choice, if you are looking for a variety of different phones to choose from and not to mention extremely reliable coverage and service.
Verizon offers family plans for cell phones that are affordable
can you flash a blackberry 9630 to cricket
Verizon is a bit better with better options of phones and a little bit better service but with better choice comes a higher price, so if your on a budget and just need a phone go with cricket
Verizon is the only company that does banners on ALL their phones as far as I know. At&t does not have banners but it has better coverage and better phones! :)
Yes Verizon offers rebate forms with some of their products, including phones. You can find all legal information about their rebate on their website.
If you're considering Verizon cells phones you may already be aware of the reputation Verizon has for having the largest U.S. cell phone network around. While other top tier carriers can provide similar coverage for many urban areas, only Verizon offers great coverage almost everywhere. Consider a Verizon phone if you are in an area where service with other carriers is poor or if you travel often. Otherwise, you may find better monthly deals through almost any of the other cell phone contract carriers out there, since Verizon's high quality network comes at a higher cell phone subscription price.
Verizon Wireless is very good as far as the choices of phone goes. Verizon offers several choices of smart phone, but also carries a number of basic phones.
