Absolutely not! Araucana and Ameraucana breeds lay colored egg in shades of green, blue, violet and rose.

There are pictures of these eggs on my profile page because I raise Araucana chickens, I even have a few hens that lay "antique gold" eggs.

Are brown eggs stronger than the white eggs?

Yes. the brown ones are brown. The white ones are white.

What color of eggs do white chickens come from?

The White Leghorn, or one of its many crosses, will normally come from a white egg, but that doesn't mean white chickens only come from white eggs, nor that white eggs only produce white chicks. White Silkies come from beige or pink eggs. White Easter Eggers might come from blue, green, pink or dark brown eggs. I've had several white, bearded chickens come from olive colored eggs. The original color of a chicken egg is blue. Naturally occurring genetic mutation has eliminated the blue color (white egg) or added brown (green, beige, pinks, chocolate, speckled, brown). It's just the color of the shell and generally has no connection with the coloration of the bird other than some breeds consistently lay a certain color of egg - again back to genetics.

Is there butterflies egg that is color brown?

No there are only white eggs in england.

Do white eggs dissolve faster in vinegar than brown eggs?

Mostly likely not. The only difference between white eggs and brown eggs is that the whites are laid by white hens, and the browns are laid by brown hens. Most "cage-free" eggs, however, are brown. The hens that laid them were housed in human conditions, so the eggs will not only taste better, they may react differently with vinegar than the cheaper eggs laid by the hens kept in the tiny cages. The results will not have anything to do with the color.

Why would an egg white be brown?

There shouldn't be white IN the yolk of an egg. The white should surround the yolk within the egg shell. The yolk (yellow bit) is what transforms to become a chick in a fertile egg. The white (albumen) is what the developing embryo feeds on.

What makes brown chicken eggs healthier for human consumption than white chicken eggs?

Nope! The only difference between brown eggs & white eggs is the shell's colour. Happy Egg Eating! Absolutely NOT! The only difference in shell color is the breed of chicken that laid it. If the hens were fed the same diet, brown-shelled eggs and white-shelled eggs are the same. Thete ARE some people who swear that they taste differently. Unfortunately for them, taste tests have consistently proved that those people CANNOT tell the difference.

How do you turn brown egg to white egg?

you can only turn a brown egg white by immersing the egg in vinegar for about 40 minutes, then take it out and underwater or tap brush it lightly with a soft toothbrush and the brown will come off leaving you with a white egg.

Why do brown egg hens sometimes lay white eggs?

A breed that will lay a brown egg, will not lay a white or tinted egg. However, the eggs will be darker at the begging of hens laying cycle, and can fade to an extremely pale shade by the end of her laying cycle. The only other reason why a hen might lay an unexpected egg color, would be if she was a mix.

Why do some chickens lay brown or white eggs?

a regular chicken- all chickens lay brown egges! No, not all chickens lay brown eggs. There are lots of breeds which lay white or creamy-white shelled eggs, and a few which lay blue or olive-green shelled eggs (Araucanas, Ameraucanas & Crested Legbars). Among those which do lay brown eggs, there are variations from breeds which lay light brown eggs (sometimes called 'tinted'), through various shades of mid-brown, to a few breeds which lay very dark brown eggs: Marans, Welsummers & Penedesencas.

What is the difference between a brown egg and a white egg?

The only difference is in the shell color and the breed that layed the egg. Nutritionally and taste wise (if the hens laying the eggs are fed exactly the same thing) there is no diffenence. People who claim that there is a difference are unable to distinguish colored eggs taste from white shelled eggs in BLIND taste testing.=DDDD The color is the most obvious difference, but also the quality may vary. Note that this might not be correct, but the local stores near my town have brown eggs that have healthier nutrients than the white egg. Also, the hen that layed the eggs may have different habits or are of different species. Hope this helps!

Is there such a thing as green eggs?

The actual contents of the eggs are not green; the green eggs are produced by Araucana hens and Ameraucana hens. Unlike white and brown eggs, the green pigment (color) goes all the way through to the inside of the shell. With brown eggs, when you crack them open, the brown color is only on the outside of the shell. With Araucana eggs, when you crack them open, the green is on the inside of the shell also. You can view green and blue eggs on my bio page.
