The GMAT score is for a total of 800. The score is based on a combination of the Quantitative and Verbal sections and will be in a range of 200-800

The median GMAT score is approximately 540. Median GMAT score is not exactly the average GMAT score, but they are very close. Only 1% of all test takers receive a score of 750 or higher. In order to be more competitive in the school you apply to, you need to know the GMAT score distribution for that particular school.
I think the score is 650.
GMAT is tougher than GRE for indian student. BUt then again, the toughness of the examination depends on your preparation.
kaptest.com is definitely the way to go: http://www.kaptest.com/GMAT/Home/index.html They offer everything you need to pass the GMAT.
None of the exams is easy or difficult since they are competitive and your score is always compared to scores obtained by others (Percentile). In choosing the exam kindly check the target college where admission is desired and which exam does it consider. Also consider that the GMAT score is valid for 5 years while CAT (Indian) is valid for 1 year. The cost of giving CAT and GMAT is also very different and should be considered.
