The Glock has 3 safeties and they are all passive. There is a trigger safety, a firing pin safety and a drop safety. This is to prevent discharge of the weapon other than a purposeful pull of the trigger. The Glock is a combat pistol designed to go bang when you pull the trigger. There are no stock external safeties though a gunsmith can install a thumb safety that is an after market part. The best safety you have when firing any firearm is the one between your thumb and middle finger and your brain. Follow the 4 rules:

1. Treat all guns as loaded

2. Do not point a gun at anything you're not willing to destroy

3. Do not put your finger on the trigger until you're sighted in on your target

4. Make sure you know what you're firing at and beyound.

Do all guns have safeties If not which do and which don't?

There are revolvers which have no safety mechanism, although more modern designs tend to have a transfer bar mechanism, which prevents the hammer from making contact with the round unless the trigger is actually pulled. This allows for a revolver to be safely carried with all cylinders loaded, whereas earlier designs which lacked this feature would have a decocked hammer making contact with the round in the chamber lined up with the barrel. Many pistols won't have a traditional safety mechanism of the sort which will actually prevent the trigger from being pulled. Some pistols, such as the Sig-Sauer pistols, some models of CZ pistols, etc. have a decocking mechanism, which allows the hammer to be lowered without the risk of it slipping and striking the round in the chamber. Others, such as the Glock, have a trigger block which must be depressed before the trigger can be pulled. On the Glock, this is part of the trigger itself, whereas the Heckler & Koch P7 has it on the front part of the grip.

Would 45 caliber pistols work on the moon?

It depends what mechanism they use. An air pistol which uses compressed air would work, but any mechanism which needs ignition (e.g. a traditional firearm where the bullet is propelled by gunpowder) or an external air source would not.

What is better a semiautomatic or a revolver?

Better is a relative term- you need to specify better for what. Semi auto pistols tend to be flatter than revolvers, and MAY hold more cartridges. Revolvers MAY fire a more powerful cartridge than a semi auto (not always). A revolver is simpler to operate, and functioning is more reliable.
