Transpiration is the evaporation of cellular water (in the form of water vapour) from the stomata in the leaves of PLANTS.

yes, at night
Deciduous plants are designed by God to lose their leaves every autumn due to the cause of transpiration, which is when the leave's stomata (microscopic mouths) transpirate the excess water out of the leaf. In winter, there is a lack of liquid water as almost everything will turn into ice, and the plant must not transpirate because it needs water. Thus, God designed the leaf to form a scab disabling the arrival of water to the leaf, which ends in the leaf weakening and eventually falling. The plant, however, will no longer depend upon its leaves to earn food, as the roots have stored up the excess sugar (plant's food) it has saved up in the spring and summer when working tirelessly all day and everyday.
