If by hell you mean a fiery place where he is being tormented, the simple answer is no because The Bible says "the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.." (Ecclesiastes 9:5,10.) Therefore if they are conscious of nothing, the dead feel no pain, so a dead person is not able to suffer in a hell.

Psalms 146:4 says when someone dies "his thoughts do perish". When Lazarus died, Jesus told his disciples "Lazarus our friend has gone to rest." (John 11:11-14) Jesus here compared death to rest and sleep. Lazarus was not suffering in hell but it was as though he was in a deep sleep. (see also Acts 7:60, 1 Corinthians 15:6).

In Psalms 16:10 Jesus said "you will not leave my soul in Sheol. You will not allow your loyal one to see the pit." Sheol is a Hebrew word and the greek equivalent is hades. In some bible translations these words are translated as grave, hell or pit. Why would Jesus go to a fiery hell? Sheol or Hades is not a literal place in a specific location but rather it is the common grave of dead mankind, the figurative location where most of mankind sleep in death.

The Bible shows that those in Sheol or Hades , include not only those that have served God but also many who have not served him.

No, Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in eternal torment after death in a hellfire or place of agony for the evil. They hold that both the teaching of hellfire and that of the immortality of the soul are unscriptural.

How do you explain Jude 1:7 So too Sod´om and Go·mor´rah and the cities about them, after they in the same manner as the foregoing ones had committed fornication excessively and gone out after flesh for unnatural use, are placed before [us] as a [warning] example by undergoing the judicial punishment of everlasting fire, And BTW this verse comes from your New World Translation Version official the Jehovah's Witness Bible?

How do you know a Jehovahs witness?

Matthew 7:16 says 'By their fruits you will recognize them'. The bible is talking about true Christians, and Jehovah's Witnesses fit the bill. We are all imperfect humans, but true Christians try to live up to the commandments in the bible; to read God's word and apply it in their life, to 'make disciples' by teaching bible truth, and by making God's name known. If someone does all these things, they are very probably Jehovah's witnesses.
