No. Not at all. And that is why they are not regarded as Christian by the Christian church worldwide - they cannot, as Paul suggests - say 'Jesus is Lord' with any conviction, and regard the trinitarian God, and all aspects of the Christian Church that believes in a trinitarian God as the works of Satan.

They back up their claims using scripture, but their primary source of scripture is the New World Translation of the Bible - a translation indicted by the vast majority of eminent bible scholars because of its skewed and warped message where any reference to Jesus' divinity is mistranslated so as to back up their own beliefs. JWs will often baffle unsuspecting people whilst they are looking for conversions by quoting much scripture (from their own Bible) to back up their spurious claims - often out of context. Let's not forget the account of The Temptations of Jesus in the desert by Satan - even the devil himself can quote scripture.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe Jesus is the subservient Son of God, despite his claim to be God himself. Nowhere in scripture does Jesus call himself the 'Son of God' (suggesting a subservient role) but as the 'Son of Man' suggesting his true and full humanity, and 'God the Son' (very different from 'The Son of God') suggesting his full Godship and relationship, with the Holy Spirit, within the Trinity - something that JWs refuse to accept despite countless references to it in scripture.

Jehovah's witnesses believe Jesus is the subservient Son of God, despite his many claims to be God himself ("I and my Father are one"[John 10, 30-33] , "he who has seen me has seen the Father" "before Abraham was - I am (as in "Ya Weh"- God's name) [John 8: 57-59]" "the Word was with God (Greek: theos) and the Word was God (Greek: theos again not idolos) [John1:1]. He claimed he would one day come again as supreme judge (the Jews believed only God was judge), he forgave sins (the Jews believed only God could forgive sins), he performed miracles (the Jews believed only Godcould do this, he claimed to be Lord of the Sabbath (only God was Lord of the Sabbath) - it is even explicitly mentioned that the priests wanted to be rid of him 'because he claimed to be God'[John 10:33]. He claimed to be Lord ("You call Me Teacher and Lord; and you are right, for I am." [John 13: 12-14]). He claimed to be the only way to the Father - as he was the Father in human form ("I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him."Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us." Jesus said to him, "Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how do you say, 'Show us the Father'?" [John 14:6-9].

Jehovah's Witnesses claim jesus is a 'demigod' with a small 'g' but they cannot say exactl what that term 'demigod' means. If it means a 'lesser' God then this is against scriptural truth that there is only one God. If it is an idolatous god then Jesus is not worthy of worship. The truth is that Jesus claimed to be God Almighty. The scriptural evidence and evidence of the early Church is there to see.

The earliest followers of Jesus all seemed pretty convinced that Jesus was fully God in human form. Paul said, "He is the image of the invisible God...in him all the fulness of God was pleased to dwell." John said that Jesus created the world. Peter said, "every one who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.". Remember, to the Jews, only God could forgive sins.

They also reject the Trinity seemingly because the word 'Trinity' doesn't appear in scripture. Yet the concept of the Trinity ranges throughout the Bible from Genesis 1 (God created through his Word in the power of the Spirit) to Matthew ("baptise in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit") through to Revelation.

Jehovah's witnesses seem to skew scripture to suit their own beliefs, and, though commendably evangelise door to door they will argue scripture and accept some aspects and reject others. Only last week in our neighbourhood a 2-year-old child was left to die in hospital by their young JW parents because they refused a blood transfusion from the hospital - treatment that would have saved the God-given life of that child. The lack of compassion and love for that child's life was totally against all that Jesus taught. Life is God-given and no one has the right to end it in that way - especially someone else's life. You cannot call that attitude Christianity.

Please read John 1:29-36

John 1:29, John " See the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world."

John 1:34 " And I have seen it, and I have given witness that this one is the Son of God.

As for refusing a blood transfusion, this is a scriptural command. Leviticus 17:4 "You must not eat the blood of any sort of flesh, because the soul of every sort of flesh is its blood." None of Jehovah's Witnesses would just allow their child to die, life is highly valued as a gift from God. However, no doctor on earth can guarentee that a blood transfusion can guarentee a person will live just because they get a transfusion. There are major hospitals using alternatives to blood transfusions across the whole world. . Please educate yourselves by going online and google the many , many articles on Non-blood Management Techniques and Alternatives to Blood Transfusions.

What do Jehovahs witnesses believe about having friends?

Well, Jehovah's witnesses try and follow the early Christians (Jesus, and his followers) as close as possible. Jesus has friends and even God (Jehovah) had made friends with people on earth, God made friends with Abraham. There are MANY examples in the bible of people having friends.... Why would Jehovah's witnesses not have friends? Jehovah's witnesses enjoy getting together with friends, and going out together, they consider their friends, as if they were family. OF COURSE they do! There is NO where in the bible that say's 'Thou shalt not have friends'.
