It would depend on the motive.
The Watchtower 15th Sept 1970 page 575 says, in answer to the question,
''In view of the fact that pagans made floral offerings to the dead, is it proper for Christians to send flowers to a funeral or to lay flowers on a grave?''
Answers,
''If a person thinks he is honoring the dead when he sends flowers, then he is doing what the pagans did. Such a motive would be wrong from the Christian viewpoint.
But if he sends flowers to comfort the survivors, to make the sad occasion a bit more pleasant, then it is certainly not objectionable.''

Jehovah's Witnesses work to earn their living as anyone else would do. We have secular jobs just as most people do. We believe in honest work and providing for our selves and our family's. We would not however work jobs that would conflict with our Bible teaching. Such jobs may include strippers, military workers, gun manufacturer, casino dealers. The type of job would depend on a Witnesses discernment, prayer, and careful consideration of Bible principles.

No. Jehovah's Witnesses are very family oriented and do not try to break up family relations. They will refrain from participating in any religious observances their family may celebrate. Because they do not celebrate many of the holidays that come around during the year, they are sometimes viewed as turning away from the family. But mostly they are declining to participate. Jehovah's Witnesses do not smoke or do drugs. If other family members smoke or drink excessively or do drugs, they will not "hang out" with them or allow them to do this in their (the JW) home. In my case, when visiting me at my home, my relatives are very respectful and go out on my porch when they feel the need to smoke.
