Yes; Jehovah's Witnesses believe in a 'new earth'.
We also believe in a 'new heavens'.
But for us, the term 'new EARTH' and 'new HEAVEN' is not refering to the physical planet earth, nor the physical Universe heavens.
In The Bible, the word 'earth' and 'heaven' is used to mean different things, depending on context. For example when Genesis 1:1 speaks of God creating the 'heaven & earth' this means the planet earth, and the physical Universe consisting of Stars, Galaxies, planets, AND all the FORCES that keep things in their place (ie gravity, magnetism, centrifical force, speed of movement, etc etc)
But when the Bible speaks of the 'birds of the heavens' this is NOT refering to the Universe. It's refering to the 'atmosphere' around the earth.
And when it speaks of Jehovah as 'dwelling in the heavens of heavens' this is NOT refering to the 'atmosphere', neither the physical Universe heavens. God exists beyond the physical Universe, which he created from himself. God exists apart from the physical Universe. He is not limited to the forces which he created from himself. Therefore that word 'heavens' refers to the 'invisible spirit realm'. God is a spirit. The angels are spirits. (This may even explain why we don't believe that Jesus had a 'physical body' when he was resurected.)
The term: 'new heavens and new earth' refers to something else again. It is a 'figurative' expression.
call the branch of Jehovahs witnesses. The number can be found on most of their books and magazines

The group is know as "Jehovah's Witnesses". They believe that receiving blood transfusions are the same as drinking blood, which is stickily forbidden in the old testament law and repeated in the new testament book of Acts where Gentile believers were to "they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication." The problem comes down to whither or not transfusions are drinking blood or not.
A stone marker on the walkway reads as follows:AUGUST 3, 1958THE LARGEST CROWD INSTADIUM HISTORY, 123,707WAS ON HAND FOR THEJEHOVAH'S WITNESSESCONVENTION
Perhaps you're thinking of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Both started in America at the end of the 19th century.
People hate the Jehovah's Witnesses because they were "destined" to, should we say. In the Bible it says that the people of the true religion would be hated and discriminated against. It's fulfilling Bible prophecy. And by the way, the New World Translation of the Bible is not altered to fit Jehovah's Witnesses' beliefs. There are many credible resources that aren't even part of their religion that studied the translation and agree that it is the most UN-ALTERED form of the original manuscripts. Hope this helps. :) Jehovahs' witnesess encourage people to study using their own bible if they are more confortable
Jehovah's Witnesses don't use that term; some Witnesses don't even know what it means although others realize that it is a Catholic ceremony and as such Witnesses have no part of it, as it is considered to be part of false religious worship. We don't use so many terms found in mainstream Christendom, like 'rapture', or 'eternal torment' or 'immortal soul'. And even though we strongly believe in Jesus, we don't even celebrate Christmas. But if this helps; the vast majority of Jehovah's Witnesses don't have any desire to getting into heaven. The Bible states that 'the meek' will have a different 'inheritance'. They "shall inherit the earth'; -- not heaven. So there is no need for communion; because most Witnesses believe that they will not share with Christ as kings, priest, and judges, only a minority of Witnesses have such a hope -- We consider ourselves to be the 'the meek' who submit to Christ's Kingship, along with those God chose to rule with him 'OVER the earth', the 'new earth'.
Jehovah's Witnesses believe that within the lifetime of people who knew people who were alive in 1914, God will bring an end to this world system (Armageddon) and eventually, within 1000 years, restore paradise to the earth for the benefit of the survivors of Armageddon (only Jehovah's Witnesses) and all those people throughout human history that have previously (i.e. before Armageddon) died, as they will be resurrected to also live in the paradise. They believe that 144,000 people from among them will be ruling the new paradise earth with Christ in heaven as spirit creatures.
