Answer

Jehovah's Witnesses form a relatively puritanical denomination and have numerous restrictions, prohibitions and rules that impact on the daily lives of members. Some of these (from Jehovah's Witnesses: Portrait of a Contemporary Religious Movement, by Andrew Holden):

  • One of the best-known restrictions is blood transfusions, a restriction in force since 1945. A ban on innoculations and vaccinations was enforced prior to 1945, while organ transplants were banned between 1967 and 1980.
  • Members can not celebrate Christmas, Easter or birthdays, nor participate in national festivals.
  • Members are expected not to smoke but may drink alcohol in moderation.
  • Heterosexual sex is permitted within marriage, only. Formerly, what was permitted even within marriage was prescribed, but these rules have been relaxed somewhat.
  • Members should not associate unnecessarily with outsiders, although proselytising and mission work are appropriate.
  • University study is permitted, but not usually encouraged, since it may lead to learning inappropriate material, or in socialising with outsiders.
  • To remain a member, one must devote several hours a week to religious study, and participate in the Society's evangelising.

IS WIFE TOOK HIM BACK BECAUSE HE WAS REPENTANT FOR LETTING A GIRL BLOW HIM OFF SEVERAL TIMES .BUT HE GOT DISFELLOWSHIPPED COME ON YOU ELDERS IN THIRSK GET A LIFE . DONT USE DISFELLOWSHIPPING TO SETTLE YOUR OWN PERSONAL GRUDGES !!!!!!!!!!!

Answer

In reply to the one that evidently makes claim to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses, the elders have no axe to grind. If you are one of Jehovah's Witnesses then you should know very well what The Bible says about discontinuing association with wrong doers until they have genuinely proven they have turned away from their wrong course. 2Thessalonians 3:14 "But if anyone is not obedient to our word through this letter, keep this one marked, stop associating with him, that he may become ashamed."

2 Corinthians 5:9-11 "In my letter I wrote YOU to quit mixing in company with fornicators, 10 not [meaning] entirely with the fornicators of this world or the greedy persons and extortioners or idolaters. Otherwise, YOU would actually have to get out of the world. 11 But now I am writing YOU to quit mixing in company with anyone called a brother that is a fornicator or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man."

You should also know that according to the scriptures adultery is the worst possible thing that can be done in marriage in Jehovah's eyes otherwise it would not be the only scriptural grounds for divorce. The person you know may have been forgiven by his wife and if so that is between them and Jehovah and she has done no wrong by doing so. It is a matter of choice although she was free and within her rights to seek a divorce had she chosen to. On the other hand it appears that you are indicating that the only thing he did was allow another woman to perform oral sex on him. Let there be no mistake about it. It is still sex outside the bonds of marriage regardless of how he did it. You also said it occured several times. It does not sound as though he spent a lot of time repenting during that time and no doubt waited until he was caught at that. You should know very well what the bible says about the position of the elders in the congregation and their appointment there. Personally I would recommend that you speak to the elders and explain your feelings and also do a lot of research in the bible and the bible based publications. Fervent prayer to Jehovah definitely would be well in order also. All of this combined can serve to readjust a wrong attitude such as the one you displayed. There is very little time left in this world as we know it to have attitudes like this and still be standing after Armageddon.

If you mean Dietary restrictions, No. We do not eat or consume Blood, in any form.

some sausages and sauces are made with blood in various cultures around the world, and we are dillagent to avoid foods prepared with blood. this is a moral issue. Ref. Acts 15:28 & 29

we are also non violent and therefore will not serve in the milatary.
