They can't date a non- Jehovah Wittness. It's not a matter of age, in general Jehovah's Witnesses do not date or marry people that are not of their faith. A minor child under the legal guard of an adult would of course be subject to their wishes. An adult is free to date at they chose but most Jehovah's Witnesses chose to respect the bible mandate to seek a partner who is a fellow worshipper of Jehovah.

Humans feel fear to a degree, but when it runs your life then it's time for that psychological counseling.
Adultery is not the ultimate sin. Arguably, suicide is the ultimate sin. Whether you are a Jehovah's Witness or belong to any other Christian denomination, the way out of this is to seek forgivenness from the partner whom you have wronged, and seek forgiveness from God in private prayer. Christians believe that the consequences of suicide are eternal damnation. Compared to censure by the Church for adultery, those consequences are great indeed.
