Answer:Christian denominations would not agree on a single answer to this question. Some denominations, such as Baptists and Pentecostal churches, base their position on biblical passages such as John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father but though me." They believe that a person must accept Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Saviour in order to gain eternal life in heaven. This means that, unless a Jew accepts Christ before the moment of death, there is no chance of salvation or heaven. This would also apply to every human being who has heard the gospel message, including those who were raised in Christian homes: there must be a moment when Jesus is accepted as personal Lord and Saviour.

Other denominations, including Catholics, Orthodox, Anglicans, Methodist, Lutherans and Presbyterians, tend to go one of two ways:

(1) It is not necessary to believe in Christ to go to heaven. In fact, there are many paths to heaven and although Christ is unique (being God incarnate) He is not the only path to God. Other holy people such as Buddha, Mohammed and Gandhi were prophets who led people to heaven. Therefore, one does not have to be a Christian to go to heaven.

(2) Christ is indeed the only Saviour of the human race, and His death and resurrection have brought salvation and eternal life to everyone - including Jews, Hindus, Muslims and so forth. It is not necessary to accept Jesus personally to be saved - as all were saved 2000 years ago. They are called to realise this and to accept the salvation gained by Christ. However, this does not have to mean an explicit acceptance; acceptance may also be implicit by the way a person lives his/her life. Thus, it is perfectly possible for a non-Christian to enter heaven.

AnswerWe must define a Christian as someone who believes and follows the recorded teachings of Jesus, and the recorded teachings (in The Bible's New Testament) report Jesus as saying, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (St John 14:6). Based on this and similar New Testament teachings, a Christian, defined in this New Testament way, does not believe anyone (Jew or Gentile) can enter God's Kingdom (whether on earth or in heaven) apart from accepting Jesus and His claims. It is not a matter of what Christians believe, basically, but a matter of what the New Testament claims--people should examine the evidence for the validity of the New Testament instead of being distracted by what they think Christians do or do not believe.

ANSWER

No. Rejection of Christ as Saviour condemns any man to Hell, if they die in that state, regardless of ethnicity God is no respecter of persons. Its why God warns men throughout the Bible that they are lost because of their sin, and Christ is the ONLY means of salvation. Because God knows there is no other way, and the punishment is certain, final, and terrible, he warns us to receive Christ as Saviour and escape the judgment to come. If you ignore this very clear warning by God, your going to hell because of your own choice, regardless of if your a Gentile or a Jew.

We don't believe in the existence of either heaven or hell. Judaism barely spends any time discussing what may or may not happen when we die, in fact, there's barely any mention of this subject in the Tanach (Jewish Bible) at all.

There are some loose theories of what might happen though:

* When we die, our souls are cleansed of any wrongdoings. This is done by our accounting of every action done in life. It's believed that this process takes no longer than 12 months but most people don't do enough bad in life to warrant it taking a full 12 months.

* Our souls return to HaShem to wait for the world to come.

* Our souls may be reincarnated into different people so that we have additional chances to work to become closer to HaShem.

* Those souls that choose to be truly evil in life, cannot survive the process of cleansing and cease to exist. (Think Hitler.)

This is true for people of all religions or no religion at all as Judaism teaches that there are different paths for different people. Judaism is simply the path for Jews.
