If you will need to run programs that use a lot of RAM or processor power for your major, you will need to look at higher end laptops.

Depending out the consumer laptops may be a better choice. Students prefer laptops over desktops as they can be easily taken to where ever they need to go. Most modern laptops provide the technology to do high powered tasks
