The answer would be "yes". Malaysia, is strictly bound by Islamic laws and the majority of Malaysia's population are Muslims. They are devout Muslims, so yes they pray. Malaysia's government is an Islamic theocracy-monarchy style. Unless they are atheist or an agnostic person who doesn't follow their Islamic origin, but I highly doubt you'll ever meet a Malay like that. Maybe the Malaysian-Indians, maybe they are Hindu or atheist.
