∙ 10y agoThe Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (sometimes called "Mormons") teaches that Jesus Christ is the literal son of our Heavenly Father, and proclaims him to be the Savior of the world. In the Pearl of Great Price (one of the standard works or scriptures of the church), the first Article of Faith states: "We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in his son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost."
In the spring of 1820, Joseph Smith had his first vision and was privileged to see both God the Father and the Savior side by side, thus teaching us that not only is Jesus the son of God, but is a separate and distinct personage.

Unlike most other Christians, Mormons do not believe that God the Father and Jesus Christ are the same being (i.e. Mormons do not believe in the Trinity - God in three persons). Mormons believe that God the Father and Jesus Christ are two individual beings, united in wisdom, power, and purpose (but not united in body). When a Mormon refers to "God", they are usually talking about God the Father alone or about the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit working together. If a Mormon is just talking about Jesus alone, they will not usually call Him God, but instead call Him Christ, Savior, or Lord. Mormons do believe that Jesus Christ is exalted to godhood and is indeed a God, but do not usually call Him "God" to avoid confusion between Jesus and the Father.

The long answer would be according to the Mormon Church and LDS (Latter Day saints) publications (Ensign) Jesus and Lucifer are spirit brothers; that is to say the offspring of our heavenly Father. As a matter of fact, Mormons refer to Jesus as our elder brother and that we ourselves are thought to be spirit children of Father God and Mother God.
