Depends on what is meant by "believe in." Muslims certainly believe that Jesus existed and even consider him one of the minor prophets, but not that He was the Son of God. Curiously, they're willing to accept the idea of his virgin birth, which would be considered pretty dramatic evidence of a special condition, but not of His Resurrection.

The question is rather like the "Do Christians and Muslims worship the same God?" question: different faiths often incorporate elements from other traditions, but alter them to fit their way of looking at the world. Thus, one can pay lip service to another's set of beliefs without actually embracing them.

As regards the wine: Jews (Jesus was Jewish, remember) approve of the - judicious - use of wine; Muslims don't. Actually, Mohammed had quite a bit of difficulty with the wine question because although it did a lot of harm (drunken behavior), it did a lot of good, too (eased pain, helped digestion, was safer than frequently polluted water, etc.) but in the end, he came down on the side of Prohibition. The fact that Jesus used wine just demonstrates (to Muslims) his innate inferiority to Mohammed.

Who is the god of Saudi Arabia?

Saudis are Muslims, and Muslims believe in god. They call him Allah. They believe that he is the same god Christian and Jewish people believe in. Except, Muslims don't believe that Jesus is the son of god, they think of him as a profit just like Mohammed.

Why would anyone think that Jesus was not sent to earth to save us from our sins?

AnswerThere are many reasons people could fail to believe that Jesus was sent to save us from our sins: They may, for example, be Hindus, and believe that Brahma did not send Jesus. Therefore, to a Hindu, Jesus was merely a man. They may be Jews, who believe in God, but do not believe that Jesus was sent by their God.They may be Muslims, who believe in the same God, but do not believe that Jesus was sent by God to save us from our sins. They believe that Jesus was merely a prophet. They may not believe in God. If God does not exist, he could not have sent Jesus.

Do Muslims believe that Jesus is not God?

A:They believe He was a prophet and a teacher. B:The Koran teaches that Jesus is a Messenger of God and the Messiah. He was sent to guide the Israelites with a new scripture, the Gospel. It also teaches that Jesus was born of the virgin Mary, by decree of God. He carried out miracles by the permission of God. He did not die, but those who tried to kill him were mistaken to think they had succeeded.

What is a person that believes in Jesus but not god?

This is an oxymoron. Jesus made it very clear that He is God the Son and came from God the Father. This teaching is foundational to who He is. It therefore is a contradictory of terms to have someone who follows Jesus' teaching but doesn't believe in God

Why is Jesus telling the disciples not to be troubled?

I think you are referring to John 14.1, where Jesus told his disciples not to be troubled. Why he told them this, i think is answered in the remainder of that verse, - "ye believe in God, believe also in me." When we truly believe in Jesus, why should be troubled at anything? Jesus loves us!

Do Orthodox Christians hate Muslims?

No they do not. They do believe in Jesus, yet they do not think of him as God or the son of God. Muslims believe only in one God, and that he has no partner or son, and he is the only one who deserves to be worshiped. Muslims believe in jesus just the same as they believe in Muhammad and other prophets, that Jesus was a prophet sent by God to guide people at his time to worship only one God and follow his teachings. Muslims believe in the miracles given to jesus by God. Muslims believe that Jesus was tried to be killed by a group of bad jews, yet God saved him and raised him up to the sky, and sent someone else instead to be killed in his place. Muslims believe that it is Jews that hated Prophet Jesus and christianity and so they managed to corrupt the Bible to misguide the christians. Muslims believe that Jesus will return to earth one day and will rule the world with peace and justice. Muslims are obligated to love all prophets and not to differentiate between anyone of them and no one has the priority over the other. Muslims are obligated to love all mankind, to treat people well, and to respect other people no matter what their religion is. Islam is the closest religion to Christianity, and prophet Muhammad's teachings are very simmilar to Prophet Jesus teachings. WE HAVE ONLY ONE ENEMY, WHICH IS THE WESTERN MEDIA THAT DISTURBED OUR IMAGE AND MADE US ALL TERRORISTS.

Are there similarities between Christianity and Catholicism?

Actually there are more similarities among catholics and Muslims that one could think of. I would like to point out some: 1. Allah (God) Most people think Allah is a completely different God from the one that catholics believe in. But it is the same God, just the name "Allah" is the Arabic word for "God" in English as it is "Dios" in spanish. 2. Jesus and the Virgin Mary Muslims do believe in Jesus and in the Virgin Mary, the only difference is that for Muslims Jesus is not Gods son (God cannot be related with any human), he is a prophet. 3. Makkah and The Holy See These are places where most of the members of these two religions attend with spiritual means. I could mention many more, but to finish there is one, probably the most important one: We Muslims believe in One God as the catholics do.
