Lincoln has a standard radio which has a booster amplifier mounted in truck behind carpet of rear seat. there are no power amps like bose in each speaker it just boosts stock radio output from amp to speakers

1990 Lincoln mark vii door speaker wires?

The speaker wires have 2 pin connectors that connect to the coaxial speakers in the doors.. If looking to upgrade speakers make sure you do research on the physical size of the new speaker as there might be issues. Also you can pick up a wire harness to connect the factory wire harness that is mounted to the door to a new set of speakers.

Is an audio signal affected by wire gauge?

Absolutely for maximum power transfer impedance's are to be matched a low wire gauge will insure that the power is not dissipated on the wire as appose in the speakers.

How do you wire your speakers?

That depends. If they're computer speakers and all your wires are headphone-jack style, then all you do is run the headphone wire from your speakers and plug it into your computer speaker input on the sound card, or a headphone jack. If they're not computer speakers and you want to wire component speakers through your computer, you'll need a receiver to power them, speaker wire to go from your speakers to the receiver, and a cable to go from your receiver "input jack" to your computer. That cable should have a red and white RCA on one end, and a headpone jack on the other.

How do you install a stereo in a 1988 Z28 Iroc Camaro when the wires have been cut?

To install a sterio in a vehicle you will need 3 wires to provide power and a pair of wires for each speaker. For an installation involving a vehicle that has all the wires cut and unmarked you will need a multimeter. Now locate the nessesary wires using this method... Ground wires are normally black or green. Use your multimeter on the resistance setting, put one probe on a metal part of the car's chassis and the other on a black or green wire. When you find the wire that has 0 resistance that will be your ground. Mark this wire "Ground" Next you will need a constant source (meaning power even if the ignition is off) and most vehicles will use a yellow wire. Switch your multimeter to the voltage detect setting Put the black probe to ground and use the red probe to check the wires. The ignition MUST BE OFF. When you find the wire mark it "+12v" Next you will need a switched source (meaning power only if the ignition is on the on or Acc) most vehicles will use a red wire for this but check with the multimeter with the ignition ON once you find the wire turn the ignition OFF if the wire looses power mark that wire "ignition" Great now you can wire your radio for power! Now you will need to find what wires go to what speakers. Wire your radio for power (heres a tip: ground the radio's chassis to reduce the risk of burning up the radio if you short something) and turn it on. Use 1 channel of the radio to test the wires until you find a pair that makes a speaker play music. Mark this wire to the corrisponding speaker. Once you have all the speakers marked you can wire the radio to the speakers. Take your time and use electric tape. If your not sure then ask a pro for help.
