While this is certainly not unheard of it is not something I would consider "healthy". As long as it is limited to fantasies and is not acted upon then it could be nothing more than just that, a fantasy, which can be entirely harmless. However, if you or your wife have other men come over to have sex with her it is not good for your marriage at all. In all likelihood it will tear your marriage apart.

Male sexuality is quite visually focused , hence why men like porn , strip shows or just watching women. Having experinced wife swapping i can certainly say it is a massive turn on , although exactly why is a bit of a mystery. For me its a combination of the taboo breaking naughtyness ( i.e. 'normal' married couples don't wife swap) the visual experince of watching another couple have sex , and oddly enough the pleasure of seeing my wife have a good sex session and orgasms , even with another guy. I would say wife swapping in separte rooms is not as thrilling ( although there is the pleasure of a new/ different partner) so there is definatley a voyeur element to it. Non - swapping sex with another couple in the same room also has the same thrill.
