For awhile they would, absolutely, while they try to convince them how wonderful they are. If it appears that the new girl isn't going anywhere then they will get comfortable enough to do it to her too. You're not missing out on anything with this non-gem. Trust me, he will always treat his girls bbadly, even if she pretends its not true...and she will.
