Usually they focus on weight. If a suitcase weighs more than 32kg they don't allow it on the plane as for health&safety reasons it can not be lifted by the workers.

How do you measure a suitcase?

The average size of a suitcase is 28 inches by 32 inches. Airlines restrict the size of a suitcase that can be carried on the airplane and the size that can be in the cargo hold. Usually, a bag that is 16 inches by 20 inches is the largest carry-on bag. The cargo hold cannot hold a suitcase that is larger than 63 inches long.

What size suitcase for 20 kilogram?

That's going to be heavily dependent on what you plan to pack into the suitcase. If the allowable limit is 20 kg, you can do that with books or rocks in just a small suitcase, but you'll need a considerably bigger one to achieve it with underwear.

Does US Airlines limit the size of the suitcase carried onto the plane?

The majority of airlines have restrictions on the size of both carry on and checked bags. Passengers who plan to fly on US Airways should make sure their carry on bag is no bigger then 45 inches. If you have concerns there should be a measuring device in the check in line so that you can make sure your bag is the proper size.

How big is 180 linear centimeter suitcase?

Linear inches (or linear centimetres) is a term invented by the airline industry to measure baggage. The size of an item in linear inches is the sum of the length plus the width plus the height of the item. A 20-by-20-by-5-inch suitcase, a 1-by-11-by-4-inch painting and a 1-by-1-by-43-inch fishing rod are all the same size in terms of linear inches. Size restrictions are different for different classes of tickets and for different airlines, but the one constant is that airlines measure baggage in linear inches. So by the same yard stick you can measure the dimensions of the suitcase that matches 180 linear centimetres. - from e-how.com

How do you find the weight of a suitcase having a mass of 72kg exerts the pressure of 85Pa on the ground?

If it has a mass of 72 kg, then its weight on earth is 705.6 newtons (about 158.7 pounds). Its size, shape, color, fabric, contents, or the pressure it exerts on the ground don't matter. Consider this: If you set the suitcase down on its bottom, on one side, or on one end, its pressure on the ground would be different in each case, but its weight would not change.
