No.
At least, I'm not sure what they have in their windshield. The windshields of modern fighters do have a reflective gold appearance, especially the stealth fighter F-117. I believe the glass is designed to improve radar signature or EMP protection but NOT for strength. If this improved the strength, then civilian airliners would have it also.
During the 1970's, some aircraft had fine wire meshimbedded in a layer of the glass. This acted as an electronic shield to protect the aircraft electronics from EMP- Electroc Magnetic Pulse from a high altitude nuclear explosion. This glass had a gold tint to it. The next time you are close to one, get closer and see if you see any wires.
I do not know how the windshields of the latest USAF fighters, such as the F-22 Raptor, are made. I don't think the Air Force wants you to know either.
There are a couple of reasons for the coatingCivil airliners and many fighters have an antireflective coating on their windshields. This is a layer of metal (sometimes many layers) that increases the amount of light a sheet of glass can transmit, and it's similar to the coating on a lens. The EA-6B Prowler DOES have a coating of gold on its canopy. This coating is there to protect the avionics in the cockpit from the output of the plane's radar jammers.
Gold is only used in conductors and wires in airplanes. This is because gold is very lightweight and does not rust.
