no not all diesel engines have block heaters
but you can look between the radiator and the grill at front of vehicle and see if there is an electric plug in cord bundled up and shoved out of site
most cords for the fords are out of site until someone actually finds it and uses it
so if block heater has never been used that is where you would find it
PS,97 model the cord is usually on right side of truck between radiator and grill
I own one and its 6,750 LBS
As you are looking at the front of the engine, it is located behind the vacuum pump; bolted to the block.
No.
Block heaters work the same as the heater element in an electric kettle . The power comes from an electric outlet in your home etc. so there is no fuse on the vehicle for the block heater . The most common problem is a break in the block heater cord wiring just near the male end that you plug in to the electric outlet

Yes it is
approx. 2gal.
A 1990 F250 with a 7.3 liter diesel in it should get roughly 20 miles per gallon. This will decrease if you do not regularly have maintenance done on the truck though.
6.0 gallons
Where can I find a wiring diagram for a Ford 1991 F250 pickup with 5.8 liter V8 and automatic transmission with overdrive?
