No most Hmong people are Shamans/buddist
he walked all the way from India to China visiting many ancient buddist sites!
all i know is its in asia, south east asia. and the local religion is islam, buddist and others.
Busddhism originated in Nepal. Buddha was a prince who gave all his riches to the poor. He is not a god but a simple man/prince who believed in doing good. I myself am Buddhist. No we do not worship him like a god that's a christian concept. We simply believe in bring peace and harmony to the world.
By practicing the teachings of the Buddha diligently all the time. By meditating and being mindful of our thoughts, words and deeds.
If you are talking about Jewish people, it was because he thought that Jewes had deseases or other bad things so he believed that by killing them all, it would be good.
Buddism is a religion and not located in anyone place. Buddist live all over the world. However it is a very popular religion in the far east.
If you are talking about Ashoka the Buddist King of the India provice of Maurya, her name is Sangamitta, she was the daughter of Ashoka and Devi his Buddist Queen (he had 2 Queens). Sangamitta chose to enter a monstary and eventully lead a mission to this naboiring province of Sri Lanaka at the request of King Tissa and with the blessing of her father. King Tissa asked that his queen Anul and all other women of his court be ordianed as nuns if they wished to convert to Buddisim. Sangamitta is credited with founding the bhikkhunis (or fully ordained Femaile Monistatic Liniage) in Sri Lanaka. She also founded a Monstary called Bikhhun Sangha or Meheini Sasna (Order of Nuns) this order has now extended to China, Burma, and Thailand. Its said that a tree she planted in Sri Lanaka still grows and is celebrated and worshiped at every year on the full moon day of December.
I find myslef asking this question, too, because his philosophy is so Buddist-like. He is not, however, a practicing Buddhist because he is Christian, but I do think there is a little buddist in him from what he believes about living in the moment and letting go, meditating, the connection within the universe and all things, etc. etc.
The Prople's Repulic of China is a single-party republic. The only political party is the Communist Party so even though there are "elections" in China, they are all members of the same political party.
