Cells don't look alike because different shapes and structures are need for different tasks. For example, a neuron (nerve cell) is a long "string" shape in order to stretch to connect to other neurons. A heart cell is a slightly diamond shaped cell, this is needed in order to stretch and contract the heart and remain attached to the other cells during all of the stretching and contracting.

No, not all cells are the same in shape. For example, plant cells are rectangular while animal cells are rounded or oval.

Do all cells look alike in terms shape and structure?

No. Form fits function in all areas of Biology. Nerve cells, for example, are very elongated to allow chemical signals to pass quickly from one area to another. Leukocytes (WBCs) are structured so they can engulf foreign invaders and skin cells are flat and conducive to "stacking". Many cells would be rendered ineffective or inefficient at the very least if their shape changed.
