I would point you towards collision theory.

I think increased surface area of the particles would increase the likely hood of effective collisions occurring, thus increasing the reaction rate. I'm not sure how much of a factor this is in reality though. Particles are relatively pretty small. The overriding factor in reaction rate is still concentration.

False, Since all chemical reactions do not occur at the same,

There are very slow reactions as well as very fast reactions.However the rate these both reactions is practically not measurable.

There are reactions which are with measurable rates, for which we calculate the "Rate of the reaction".
