Today, yes, but partly due to censorship. The Grasshopper and the Ant ends happily (with the grasshopper being invited to share the ants' Christmas dinner), but this isn't the original ending. As far as I know, the last one to have its ending changed was The Boy Who Cried Wolf. It originally ended with the wolf eating the sheep, but today children's fiction is required by law to end happily (at least, I'm 99% sure it is).
