I have a Jack Russel Terrier and she used to dig in my yard. The only reason is because there was some type of mole or something below my yard. She also had a habit of digging by our fence. I don't know why. She doesn't do that any more though. I guess it sort of depends on what your dog's reasons are. By that I mean they will dig for certain reasons.
Rat terriers and Fox terriers are their own breed of dog. They all come from the same lines, going centuries back. But now due to breeding, these different breeds of dog have different characteristics although they may look alike they are in fact not all Jack Russell's.
I believe they came from England. All terriers exept for the Schnauzer come from England. The Schnauzer is from Germany
It all depends on what the personality of the dog is like. =)
The Jack Russell is a type of terrier dog. You can find information on Jack Russell rescue by visiting your local animal shelter. There are a lot of animal rescue centers that have Jack Russell terriers. They all have different names.
Yes. Like all dogs, Jack Russel terriers have a back bone, a spine.

The first place you should try is your local humane society. With all the animals in shelters I think it is irresponsible to get a dog (or any pet) from a breeder. There is probably a Jack Russell waiting for you there right now.
mabe you can try ( i am using shiba inus) All dog breeds are good to try, I usually use the bigger dogs.
