No. The usual garden slugs eat vegetation. Leeches, on the other hand, do suck blood, and they look a lot like slugs
No, leeches stand little chance of catching the very quick mosquito larvae. Leeches tend to feed on fish, often attaching themselves to the fish right before they are swallowed and then moving to the gills where they suck the fish's blood.
They used leeches to suck out all of the diseases they have got.

Leeches are annelids comprising the subclass Hirudinea. There are freshwater, terrestrial, and marine leeches. Like the Oligochaeta, they share the presence of a clitellum. Like earthworms, leeches are hermaphrodites. Some, but not all, leeches are hematophagous.Haemophagic leeches attach to their hosts and remain there until they become full, at which point they fall off to digest. A leech's body is composed of 34 segments. They all have an anterior (oral) sucker formed from the first six segments of their body, which is used to connect to a host for feeding, and also release an anesthetic to prevent the host from feeling the leech. They use a combination of mucus and suction (caused by concentric muscles in those six segments) to stay attached and secrete an anti-clotting enzyme, hirudin, into the host's blood stream.
They put a leach on the body of the person and waited for it to drop off because it would then have collected all the bad blood. They would also try and cut the patient and wait for the bad blood to pour out.
they dont they get all the moister they need out of the blood
The heart purifies the impure blood and supply the pure blood to all the organs of the body
Leeches are known to survive by feeding off the blood of other, large beings, but not all leeches live on blood. Some eat decaying vegetation or dead animals in the bottom of the pond.
hi, Yes, Speccially in blood poisining from heavy metals, like lead (pb). Has they clean the blood while ingesting the lead or any other metal, while our body produces fresh untainted blood They are used as a medicinal treatment, and in some countries they are considered a good meal
The right atrium of the heart receives all the impure blood from the veins
Most leeches will eat an entire earthworm whole! But they ALL have a passion for blood. I'm not recommending it, but you can take your pet leech and let him leech of you, your dog/cat/hamster/whatever for about 20 minutes until he/she gets full. They only consume a few cc's of blood, but you have to be careful as they may be carrying diseases...
