This exam is not a pass or fail exam. A contact lens exam is just your optometrist measuring your eye and how far you can see with contacts. That is when the left eye and right eye measurements come in. Usually the optometrist gives you a trial pair to make sure there is no irritation and no damages to the inner eye before prescribing contacts (usually a week)
There is no answer for this question. What is right for someone else may not be right for you. I recommend that you visit your optometrist and see what they think is best and then they should give you a trial pair. Wear these for a couple weeks, but if they are at all uncomfortable do not hesitate to go back and request a different brand
Yes and no, but possibly maybe. I don't really know though.
Your eyes should not hurt after wearing contacts. In fact you shouldn't even feel discomfort! You need to wear your contacts less and glasses more. Also get some more sleep. Your eyes shouldn't hurt after wearing contacts. The first time when you wear contacts, your optometrist is suppose to give you a trial pair. If there was any discomfort during the follow-up appointment, (the week after you said you wanted contacts) then he/she will be giving you another brand and another until the optometrist ran out of brands to give you to try in his/her office. Then he/she would tell you that you can't wear contacts at all (never happen)
I have used Acuvue contacts for years and am really excited that they have color contacts available now too. You should go to their website and sign up to get a free trial pair! if you want to get luckyyes No. Contact lenses have certain measurements of the eye and vision. My trial pair that my optometrist gave me, I could not see a thing. so there was something wrong with it. So, they tried on different measurements to see which one was the right fit from my prescription. I had to wait for 2 weeks to get mine
I would bring your regular glasses and sun glasses.AnswerNo, but you won't be able to see for a while, anyway. AnswerI just got back from an eye exam. The optometrist told me to wear my contacts, but throw them away when I take them out for the night, and put on a new pair in the morning. He said sometimes the drops could contaminate the lenses and re-dilate my eyes in the morning. I'm nearsighted, not sure if it's different for people that are farsighted.
The cost of non prescription color contacts varies by the manufacturer of the products themselves. Sites like Go Color Contacts offer lenses as low as $6.99 per pair while direct companies like Walmart have them in the $15 per pair range.
Yes you can. As long as they are properly disinfected. But let me tell you those contacts are going to HURT. So I recommend throwing it away and grabbing a new pair.
A pair of pants.
Medicare only pays for a pair of glasses or contacts after a cataract surgery
