First of all, and atheist is a person who dent believe in god and they usually have a reason for nit doing so, and religious people do believe in god because they have found faith. GO CATHOLICS! They are right about God!
People have different faiths so they believe in different Gods. If people don't believe in God they are Atheists.
Because they, like all religious people, are delusional and believe in an imaginary friend.
AnswerGenuine followers of the Abrahamic faiths (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) do believe in God. Of course, there is no real way of knowing how many followers of those faiths do not really believe in God and are only followers for cultural, social or family reasons, or because they think it is more 'respectable' to be a follower.
Muslims, Christians, and Jews worshiped the same God. Islam teachings require no compulsion in religion and require respect of all human faiths and beliefs. In addition, Muslims believe in all God prophets (including Moses and Jesus and Muhammad; Peace be upon them) and believe in all God holy books (including Torah, the Bible, and Quran).
If you have a religious belief, then you believe you are serving God. No one among the Jewish, Christian, or Muslim faiths believe that they serve anyone but God. To make the argument that they are serving the religion itself is semantics at best. Their beliefs and the actions they take because of those beliefs are how the religious serve God. The goal is to exercise the tenets of that religion in order to serve God.
God is the Creator of all on earth. One doesn't need to be a Christian to pray to God and, yes, God does answer ALL prayer, although the answer might not always be what we would like it to be but it will be what is best for us.
