The Catholic church does not teach that you have to have faith in Jesus and get your sins forgiven in order to get to heaven.

It does however, recognize that the only way to get to heaven is through Jesus and his death on the cross.

But there are plenty in the world who have never heard the Gospel, they are not required to know or "accept" Jesus in order to get to heaven. They are called to live good and moral lives as they see fit within the beauty of our human dignity.
