I am quite certain that Bond, James Bond could set you straight in a heartbeat on THAT shot, bucko. As an American, I was quite impressed by (a fictional character) Sherlock Holmes' ability to determine where a person learned to speak, simply by listening carefully to their inflections and intonations. Americans enjoy(?) a diversity of usage harking back to their English roots. As far the issue regarding films, film-makers want to SELL tickets. End of story.
