If the fish are in a (mixed) community tank there is not much you can do. Two females will sometimes spawn together but if the eggs are still translucent (not white) after 36hrs the eggs have been fertilised so you do have a "m/f pair". Angelfish often eat their eggs the first few spawnings. If you want to rear some young naturally you will have to give the fish their own accommodation (at least 30gal tank). The eggs can also be raised artificially away from the parents. It involves the use of methelyne blue to stop the eggs from fungusing, and an air stone to keep a gentle water flow over the eggs. HTH
Angels First and foremost- rejoice because you stumbled upon a mating pair of angels. :D If their already laid in a community tank as stated above, it is a little out of your hands. In my experience however, my angels guarded their eggs. It is common for the angelfish to eat their eggs the first few rounds, but after these attitudes might change and the pair begin to guard their eggs instead. It's fascinating. Enjoy and good luck! CF

∙ 12y agoYou can get a breeder net from your local pet shop. If you find eggs in the tank, put them in the breeder net and when they hatch, feed them fry food which you can get from the pet shop too.
If there are too many fish you can always take some to the pet shop but if not, take the fish out of the breeder tank when they are around 3cm in length (3/4 inch)

∙ 14y agoIf you have a single angelfish that has layed eggs you know they can not be fertile because a male fish is needed. I would leave the parents to rear the fry rather than do it myself.
