yes quite a few still use the bench seats. Such as the dodge charger or the Chevy corvet alot of the sports cars still use the bench seats. If you look at ford mustang many of them come with bench seats.
Used minivans can be a great value since they'll differ barely any from a new minivan, however, there can be some downsides, such as dirty seats or faulty parts.
Any vehicles that do not have 'bucket-style' seats are said to have 'bench' seats. That covers w-a-y- too many brands and makes to list here.
Bench seats have mostly been replaced with bucket seats, but a few vehicles are still available with the older and more traditional bench seat. Trucks and larger SUVs are usually found to have this option.

I do not believe there are any cars made in the United States that have a bench seat option any more. It is a safety thing.
It has two bench seats and two front bucket seats. therefore having 4 seats and sitting 7 people comfortably. Plenty of room in the back for any storage.
I do not know of any such car. Minivans and SUVs have a small amount of luggage room in the back, but not enough to stow luggage for 8 people. Your best bet is to rent a passenger van (make sure it has luggage space in the back -- not all of them do -- or have the agency remove one of the bench seats). The alternative is to rent multiple vehicles.
No. No US cargo vans come in a three seat configuration. Some are available as an 8 or more passenger vehicle. None offer three seats, nor do any offer a front bench seat. Sorry.
I have never seen any of the Impala rear seats that fold down other than the stationwagon
To my knowledge any car with 4 doors, or a convertible with 4 seats (they will jump in the back, they may not if there's not enough room in the back seats). Vans/Minivans have more seats, but only 3 other people will get in. I'm not sure about buses, as I've never thought of using one.
In Australia the government needs 76 seats for a majority. If they have any less than that the the cross benchers come into play.
