Oxygen to Hydrilla plant is available through water, however, it needs O2 for respiration which is radially available as a byproduct of photosynthesis
that's not true....like all living organisms, plants breathe in oxygen at all times..its just that they involve in photosynthesis , in addition, during daytime Plants do indeed take in carbon dioxide and expel oxygen. It is the only reason we are here. Oxygen is unstable and must be constantly replenished, without the plants putting off oxygen we could not survive. It is the basic formula for life and is what we search for in the cosmos for other inhabited planets.
Plants have chlorophyll in their cells, which is a pigment that captures sunlight. Through the process of photosynthesis, plants use this sunlight, along with water and carbon dioxide, to produce glucose as a source of energy. Oxygen is also produced as a byproduct of photosynthesis in plants.
Plants do use energy for growth, reproduction, and maintenance of their cellular functions, but they do not require as much energy as animals since they do not need to move around to hunt or search for food. Instead, plants generate energy through photosynthesis, using sunlight to convert carbon dioxide and water into glucose for fuel.
Oxygen can be gathered by several means. One of which is the electrolysis of water in an inverted tube. As oxygen is split from the water, it will fill the tube and displace the water. You then have collected oxygen. Industrial processes usually use stages of filtering in order to get pure oxygen using various filter material (some that absorb other gases as well). Do a search on bottling processes for gas companies and you will probably find some processes used.

Try a local fish store (LFS), that is local, not a super chain like petconglomerate who might be selling a poor quality or terrestrial plant for the aquarium. If you have trouble finding them locally you can have very good success by ordering aquatic plants online. They are shipped to your home from major growers. Be sure not to leave them on your porch in the hot sun.Try an internet search for "online aquarium garden plant sales"Note: When first starting out try a few easy plants like fully aquatic Anubias or Amazon Swords, or many types of Crypts first. It could get expensive if you watch hundreds of dollars of plants wither away or consumed by algae in your tank if you are inexperienced.
The platypus is semi-aquatic because, although it must live and shelter on dry land, it needs to hunt for its food in creeks and rivers. Platypuses cannot breathe underwater; nor can they search for food on land.

Animals can walk while plants cannot but plants can also move but not in locomotion they can only bent or creep in search of sunlight.
I'm assuming SOME plants can, but the majority of the plants in the world need sunlight to live and grow. Also, they must have water, but I'm sure everyone knows that. Search up the plant on Wikipedia or a search engine and see if it says anything about what it needs to grow.
It cannot be say in a word.
