Yes, when trying to differentiate a bed bug from a tick, I took a picture of the bed bug. When the light flashed, the bed bug crouched down. I thought it was my imagination, so I continued to flash the camera light and every time it crouched down in defense. Then, I smashed it with a plastic spoon and it died. You have to burn ticks
