While we have never actually proven that this does happen, we're fairly certain that when two black holes get close enough together, they will merge and form one even larger black hole.

if two black holes collide, they swallow eachother making one giant blackhole

What happens when the two flat sides of a black hole collide?

I don't know what you mean with "flat side". But if two black holes collide, this should produce a huge amount of gravitational wave. This is believed to be a common result of galaxy mergers.

Is it possible for 2 black holes to collide with each other?

Yes and they would get bigger and gain more mass. So the basically combine into a bigger black hole

When two galaxies collide does this destroy the black holes within them?

Not by a long shot. There are a few different possible outcomes, but if the galaxies remain together if anything the black hole you end up with is bigger.

What happens if a white hole and a black hole collide?

When a white hole and a black hole collide, it is theorized that they would cancel each other out, resulting in the release of energy and potentially creating a new type of cosmic event. This collision is purely hypothetical as white holes have not been observed in nature.

What were black holes before they turned into black holes?

stellar black holes were stars (these are large)primordial black holes were pieces of the big bang (these are microscopic)

What cause thing to suck in a black hole?

The best answer to your question is that black holes are super massive. Massive objects have high gravitational pull which means that they will pull objects, including sunlight, into the black hole if something enters the black hole's event horizon. As opposed to common lore, black holes are not giant "vacuum cleaners" which roams around the universe destroying everything it comes near. Most galaxies are believed to harbor massive black holes and the stars in the galaxy are typically orbiting the the black holes instead of falling into them. In some cases, galaxies are disturbed(for example if two galaxies collide), and some solar systems may be pushed into the path of the black holes which will then "suck them in".

Is the universe made of black holes?

No. It certainly has black holes, but it has other things as well.No. It certainly has black holes, but it has other things as well.No. It certainly has black holes, but it has other things as well.No. It certainly has black holes, but it has other things as well.

Can black holes dies?

Black holes do not die but they can evaporate.

Will there be more or fewer black holes in the future?

about Black HolesLikely their will be fewer and fewer although Larger as time passes. In the current regime of the Unverse, as galaxies merge and collide, Many Black Holes will be attracted to each other and eventually merge together into larger ones. Their will also continue to be newly created black holes as stars will continue to collapse. If the universe continues to expand however these black holes will become more and more distant from each other thereby foiling further mergers. There will be more and they will suck up the entire universe.."shivers" .......im scared........

How do black holes get into your solar system?

There are no black holes in our solar system

What are the stars called when they become black holes?

They are called "black holes".
