no. No reptile needs light at night..same with humans..they need absolute dark to fully rest..if it is getting below thier minimum low temps (chameleons actually do better when temperatures drop at night ** 55 degrees is thier minimum**). do not use lights at night for reptiles..its a common mistake.

We were minding a blue tongue lizard for a friend and in the morning it was no where to be seen... so we came to the asumtion that it climbed out... we would never have thought so though.
