Are skinks poisonous to cats if eaten?

Skinks are neither poisonous nor venomous. In fact, there are no poisonous lizards in the world- only venomous ones, and the only venomous lizards on Earth are the Gila monster (Heloderma suspectum spp.), the Mexican Beaded Lizard (Heloderma horridum spp.), and the Komodo Dragon (Varanus komodoensis). Although many believe the Komodo Dragon's "venom" to be the product of solely dental bacteria, Dr. Brady Barr's recent work with the species has shown that they actually do have a venom of their own (as impotent as it may be). I talked with him in person about this work a couple years ago.

The same with all skinks you cannot really tell there sex apart. If you have a blue tailed skink and you really want to know what sex is you can take it to the vet and they will x-ray it. You don't really need to know the sex unless your planning on breeding it. Its not worth the hassle for such a small little lizard. Hope this answers your question :))

Why wont your skink eat?

A bearded dragon may not be eating for several reasons. If you feed your beardie the same thing every day, he/she may get tired of the food and simply stop eating. Other cases may be more serious. Such as the fact that they did not swallow a bite of food all the way before taking another bite. The food gets stuck in the throat or beard until completely digested or removed. One more very serious case completely depends on the type of bedding you use. If you use Vita Sand or Repti Sand or other beddings like these, you may have a very serious problem. Sands found in pet stores are very dangerous to bearded dragons. In fact it's safer to use play sand. (Not at all suggesting that you should.) These sands are not digestible, and beardies tend to inadvertently eat it. It just sits in their stomach. The more they eat, the less often they feel hungry. In this proses it is starving itself. You must attend to this very serious matter immediately! You must give your beardie a warm bath every day, while doing this, you should give them warm drinks of apple cider or prune juice. Papaya is a good fruit to try to get them to eat during this time of need. Hopefully, after a time your beardie will poop after a bath or a warm drink. Do not be alarmed if it is extremely sandy and dry. It may also have a very foul smell. Continue giving baths and drinks until normal eating, drinking, and pooping habits restart. Remember: When giving a bath, do not allow the water to get near the ear. If your beardie does not return to normal after all the treatments and change of substrate within three weeks, Take him/her to a veterinarian right away. Do not give up!

May your beardie have a happy, safe, and long life!
