Healthy individuals lose around 9,000 brain cells daily. Certain drugs such as ketamine, nitrous oxide, and inhalants cause brain cell death at almost thirty times the normal rate. Alcohol plays a role in brain cell death, but not as large a part as drugs.
brain cells do not regenerate.
Edited by another user:
Yes they actually do 'regenerate' but it is the cell division process. The regeneration process takes over 50 years to complete!
In humans, when a cell for a neuron (cell body) dies, small cells come around the dead cell. These cells are called "microglia" and they act like a vacuum cleaner to clean up the old dead cell.
In a brain injury, several hours to days later, microglia can be seen invading the damaged site to start cleaning up the dead cells.

no brain cells do not regenerate. brain cells are stuck in the g0 (g-zero) phase like muscle and nerve cells.
Yes, when you damage your head in a car crash or something, or when you shake your head vigorously.
Yes, dummy! Of course they divide; how else do you think you gain knowledge.
Yes the brain can replace dead brain cells the theory that weed kills brain cells is bogus if you don't believe me watch the movie called The Union
depends which brain cells die but any one of them dieing is bad. if memory cells die
then u lose memory and cant learn or something like that
Brain Cells, necrotic cells and burned dermis cells cannot regenerate themselves.
The outside layer of the bone contains a material called lixtate, which helps regenerate lost brain tissue. Because of lixtate, brain cells regenerate faster in people with larger amounts of lixtate.
Nerve cells are in G0, which means the cells are in developmental arrest. They do not divide or grow, they stay the same and don't regenerate.
Cardiac muscle cells do not have the ability to regenerate.
No, not all. Then erve cells in the central nervous system do not regenerate.
No. The brain is made of nerve cells. And the nerve cells in the brain are part of the central nervous system that does not regenerate.
The neurons in the brain and else where do not normally regenerate. Skin cells do regenerate.
Brain Cells, necrotic cells and burned dermis cells cannot regenerate themselves.
The neurilemma is the Schwann cell. This helps with regeneration of cells. The nerve cells in the brain do not have neurilemma and therefore, cannot regenerate.
No-- Nerve cells are one of the few kinds of cells that never regenerate or regrow.
The brain grows as you age into adult phase until you are in your early twenties. There is some research that shows that brain cells can regenerate even into late adulthood and old age.
no weed does not kill brain cells. but if u do find a way to loose them u do loss them permanently there the only kind of cell that does not regenerate.

The Red Blood Cells regenerate in bone marrow

No, once damaged the cells will scar but not regenerate.
yes they can regenerate. Marine sponges are multicellular animals that can regenerate from single cells.
