Not really. Some Buddhists choose not to eat meat in accordance with the idea of not killing, but this isn't compulsory. It is okay to eat meat, just not to order it directly from the butchers, as this may lead to an animal being killed specifically for you.

I'm a Buddhist and a vegetarian, but I'm not vegetarian because of my religion, it's just a separate thing for me.

Individual Buddhists may eat special food (for example, I am a celiac, so my bread is pretty special) and certain schools may have food traditions but they would be related to the culture and society and nation in which they live, not to do with Buddhism.

Buddhism does not have any universal "special food" it uses as part of its occasions.

The Buddhist Diet generally avoids meat although some sects allow the consumption of certain meats. Some sub-sects of the Buddhist Diet restrict the consumption of many vegetables like root vegetables because the cultivation of them kills the plant itself. Other sects avoid eating plants that contain a strong odor such as onions, garlic, or leeks.
